· If you want to learn how to play blackjack, you’ve found the right spot. · If you want to sit down at a game where you know what to do, this program is it. · If you want to play without embarrassing yourself, you’re home. · If you want to play blackjack and not embarrass yourself at a blackjack table, this program is for you. |
Step Two: When you sit down at the table, tell the dealer and players that you are new at the game. There will be groans, and sometimes someone will get up and leave. This is normal and not embarrassing. Really. This happens all the time. Everything that each of you do on a table affects the outcome of each hand, and each hand affects the outcome of everyone’s game. The other players want you to play right , according to what they were taught, so they will all win. The problem with that is that most of them never did any study of the correct play. They will offer advice or tell you how to play each hand, since it is in their interest to have the game go the way they want it to. However, if you have learned the strategy in my program, you will already know as much as any of them. Most players, for instance, won’t hit a 12 against a 2 or 3 showing in the dealer’s hand. The house has a 1.2 % advantage over them because that play is not wrong, It is a good bet. They just won’t draw when they might bust their hand, regardless of the quality of that play. |
Step One: There is a set of 20 Rules, I call them the 20 sentences that you should learn completely before you walk into a Casino. You are about to sit down at a game that supports the industry, and play it with your own money. It makes good sense to memorize and practice the 20 Rules before you walk in, because you are going to have to make very quick decisions based on those rules on every single hand you play. The dealer usually runs about 40 hands per hour, so you will be called upon to react to each hand at that same pace. If you practice on your kitchen table for a couple hours before you come in, you will look like you know what you are doing. If you decide to carry in a Hit/Stand chart, you will have the same information but you will look like a dummy. Those charts are available here. I actually had a customer walk up to me tonight as I stood in the middle of 30 blackjack tables, and ask me where to find the blackjack tables. He was about to play a game with his own money that he has no idea what it even looks like! |
Step Three: Have fun! If you have practiced the 20 Rules for a couple hours (we recommend 24), and you let the others at the table know you are new, the only thing left is to enjoy your game! If it doesn’t work out that you win, think of it as going to a show. You pay for the entertainment. If you do win, put all your winnings in an envelope and send them to me. I’ll love to tell the story. Or, at least email me and tell me how it went. I’ll use the testimonial here on my website! |
